Fatal Overturn Accident in North Woodmere Ends With Arrest

North Woodmere, NY – In the early hours of Saturday, February 10, a tragic incident occurred in North Woodmere, resulting in the death of a 22-year-old man and the arrest of the driver on multiple charges.

A 2023 Toyota, driven by 26-year-old Aaron Cooper of Lindenhurst, lost control and overturned on Rosedale Road near the intersection of Lawrence Court, according to Nassau County Police. The accident, which took place around 4:30 a.m., prompted an immediate response from law enforcement and emergency services.

Upon investigation, police arrested Cooper without incident. The passenger, identified as Pablo Rivera of Valley Stream, was pronounced dead at the scene by a Nassau County Police Department medic.

Cooper was transported to a local hospital for treatment by a Nassau County Police Department Ambulance. He faces charges including manslaughter, vehicular manslaughter, assault, driving while intoxicated, and reckless driving.
