Albemarle County, VA – The Albemarle County Police Department reported a fatal motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on Seminole Trail (U.S. Route 29) near India Road on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 7:12 pm. Emergency units from both the Albemarle County Police Department and Albemarle County Fire Rescue promptly responded to the scene.
The pedestrian, identified as 59-year-old Charles Russell Gray of Charlottesville, was transported to the University of Virginia Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
In the wake of this tragic incident, the Albemarle County Police Department is urging witnesses or anyone with information about the crash to come forward.
