Huntingtown, MD – A tragic motor vehicle accident in Huntingtown has resulted in the death of an 81-year-old man, prompting an investigation by local authorities. On February 28, at about 11:41 a.m., the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Bureau was called to the intersection of Hunting Creek Road and Deep Landing Road following reports of a crash involving a single vehicle.

Upon their arrival, deputies found the driver with life-threatening injuries. The Calvert County Crash Reconstruction Team has taken over the investigation to determine the sequence of events. Early findings suggest that Charles Michael Sullivan, the driver of a 2018 Chevy Silverado, did not stop at a stop sign while traveling eastbound on Deep Landing Road, leading his vehicle to cross Hunting Creek Road, exit the roadway, and collide with several trees.
