Taxi Driver Robbed at Gunpoint in Front of 3051 Olinville Avenue

NEW YORK, NY — In the early hours of Saturday, February 3, 2024, a taxi driver fell victim to an armed robbery in front of 3051 Olinville Avenue. At around 12:30 a.m., three unidentified assailants entered the taxi and, brandishing a firearm, demanded valuables from the 25-year-old male driver.

The perpetrators forcibly took jewelry, a cellphone, a tablet, and approximately $370 in cash before fleeing the scene on foot heading southbound on Olinville Avenue.

The taxi driver did not sustain any injuries during the robbery. NYPD detectives are currently investigating the incident and seeking any information that could lead to the identification and arrest of the individuals involved.
