Teen Arrested in D.C. Shooting That Left One Dead

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department has apprehended a teen for his involvement in a fatal shooting in Northeast D.C. The arrest follows the incident that took place in late January, where one victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

On January 22, at around 3:28 PM, officers were dispatched to the 4600 block of Minnesota Avenue, Northeast, upon receiving reports of gunfire. They found one individual with non-critical injuries and another fatally injured inside a vehicle, who was later declared deceased despite efforts to save him. The individual who survived the shooting was taken to a local hospital for medical attention.

The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Tyreek Moore from Northeast, D.C. On March 26, 17-year-old Tyree Bratcher from Southeast, D.C., was arrested based on a DC Superior Court warrant. Bratcher faces charges as an adult for Second Degree Murder while Armed.
