CAMDEN, DE — Delaware State Police have apprehended Richard Morgan, 31, from Jamaica, New York, and Trevin Griffith, 31, from Rosedale, New York, on charges of identity theft among other felonies. The arrests were made following an incident at the Music and Arts Specialty Store in Camden, where the duo attempted to make purchases with stolen IDs and counterfeit credit cards. The police were alerted and responded to the scene at about 1:00 PM on March 26, observing Morgan and Griffith exiting the store. A chase ensued when Griffith attempted to flee, during which he was seen discarding a fake credit card. Further investigation around the store premises led to the discovery of an additional counterfeit credit card and ID concealed in a trash dumpster and under a vehicle, which were linked to Morgan. Morgan was subsequently transported to Troop 3 for processing, faced a court arraignment, and was then detained at Sussex Correctional Institution with a bail set at $38,000.
