Toms River School Crossing Guard Retires After 26 Year Career

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Helen Solly, a beloved school crossing guard known affectionately as Mama H, has retired after 26 years of dedicated service to the Toms River community.

Mama H has been a familiar face to countless students, having trained many of the crossing guards who work in all weather conditions to ensure the safety of the community’s children. Chief Mitch Little and the Toms River Police Department (TRPD) extend their heartfelt thanks and well wishes to her upon her retirement.
