One Dead, One Injured in Brooklyn Shooting

BROOKLYN, NY – On Monday, police were called to the scene of a shooting that resulted in one fatality and one injury. The event occurred near Mother Gaston Blvd and Sutter Avenue in the 73rd Precinct’s jurisdiction around 7:59 PM.

Upon their arrival, authorities discovered a 50-year-old male with a life-threatening gunshot wound to the chest and a 41-year-old male with a gunshot injury to the shoulder. Emergency Medical Services swiftly transported the victims to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center for immediate treatment.

The 50-year-old victim was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The 41-year-old victim is currently in stable condition, receiving care. As of now, no suspects have been apprehended in connection with the shooting, and police are actively investigating the matter.

The police have yet to release the name of the deceased, pending notification of his family.
