Woman Assaulted on Subway Platform in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, NY — A violent assault occurred on the northbound “L” train platform at the Montrose Avenue subway station on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at around 7:00 PM. A 28-year-old woman was attacked by several unidentified females who pulled her hair and repeatedly punched and kicked her.

After the assault, the attackers fled the scene to an unknown location. The victim sustained injuries from the incident and was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Woodhull, where she is reported to be in stable condition.

The suspects are described only as females who were last seen wearing hooded sweatshirts. Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage from the subway station and are asking anyone with information about the assault or the identity of the attackers to come forward to help with the ongoing investigation.
