Arrest Made in Franklin Township Convenience Store Burglary

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ – Joseph Holman, 41, of Buttercup Lane, Willingboro, was arrested in connection with a burglary at a convenience store in Franklin Township. The incident occurred on Thursday, March 14.

Prosecutor McDonald reported that the Franklin Township Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call around 8:08 a.m. regarding the burglary at the store on Easton Avenue. The investigation revealed that during the previous night, the perpetrator broke the glass door to enter the store and stole approximately $9,300 worth of New Jersey lottery tickets. Holman was identified as a suspect after he allegedly validated the stolen lottery tickets.

Holman was charged on April 4 with third-degree burglary, third-degree theft, fourth-degree criminal mischief, and possession of burglary tools. He has been held at the Middlesex County Correctional Center since March 20 on unrelated charges. He will remain there pending a detention hearing. Prosecutor McDonald expressed gratitude towards the Middlesex Borough Police Department and the New Jersey Lottery Commission for their assistance in the investigation.
