A week after the purchase, amidst cleaning her bag, she stumbled upon the winning ticket, leading her to learn about the prize through the Maryland Lottery app.
After confirming her win of $50,000 with a sister, the elated winner, a mother and educator, shared the news with her husband, planning to use the money for a family vacation, home repairs, and children’s savings.
Maryland Powerball players can now enjoy a special promotion, offering random free Mega Millions tickets to those purchasing Powerball tickets leading up to April 21.
