Arrest Made After Domestic Dispute Involving Firearm

Wilkes-Barre, PA – On Wednesday, Officers responded to a call on Beekman Street in Wilkes-Barre City regarding a domestic dispute at 6:27 p.m. Involving a firearm. The victim, a 37-year-old female, stated that Benjamin McNeil, 34, struck her in the face after an argument over her missing firearm.

McNeil fled the scene with the firearm but was later apprehended by the Police. Authorities recovered the weapon and detained McNeil, who was then taken to City Headquarters for processing and arraignment. Upon a further examination of McNeil’s background, it was discovered he is a convicted felon, making him ineligible to possess a firearm.
