In a sexual abuse case involving two children, Alejandro Perez, 34, of Haverstraw, New York, has entered guilty pleas. The charges, including Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree and Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, were filed on April 16.

Over two years starting in the summer of 2021, the accused subjected an eleven-year-old and a fourteen-year-old to multiple instances of sexual abuse. The abusive acts consisted of oral sexual conduct and inappropriate sexual contact under their clothing. Both victims courageously revealed the abuse to out-of-state family members, who then reported the incidents to law enforcement in Atlanta, Georgia.

The investigation was initiated by the Haverstraw Police Department, with assistance from the City of Atlanta Police Department and the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office Special Victims Unit.

The defendant is set to receive sentencing on July 30 before the Honorable Anne B. Bianchi.
