Man Kicked Out of D.C. Night Club Returns to Shoot Six Just Blocks from White House

Washington, DC – A Maryland man has been arrested after a shooting at The Metropolitan Police Department expressed gratitude to the United States Secret Service Uniformed Division for their aid at the scene. left six people injured, according to authorities. Rennwel Mantock, 29, of Hyattsville, began shooting following his removal from the club on Connecticut Avenue NW just after 11:20 p.m. Friday.

The suspect wounded four men and two women, leading to hospitalization for five victims and treatment for a graze wound for the sixth individual.

Mantock faces charges of Assault with Intent to Kill, Possession of Unregistered Ammunition, and Possession of an Unregistered Firearm following the incident at the nightclub.

The nightclub is just five blocks away from the White House.
