Columbia, MD- A 44-year-old woman involved in a fire-bombing in Howard County more than two years ago has been sentenced to decades in prison, the state’s attorney’s office revealed on Wednesday. Shannon Marie Williams received a 115-year prison term, with 50 years suspended, for her role in an arson incident back in April 2022.
On Tuesday, Williams was found guilty of attempted first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, first-degree arson, possession of incendiary material with the intent to create a destructive device, and other charges.
Prosecutors stated that in the early hours of April 5th, 2022, Williams collaborated with two others to target an apartment at the Bluffs of Hawthorn in Columbia by throwing a molotov cocktail through a window, intending to harm the occupants. Howard County Fire and Rescue quickly responded to extinguish the fire, which left one firefighter injured.
