Police In Wildwood Crest Arrest Man with Meth and Weapons During Traffic Stop

Wildwood Crest, NJ – On Friday, at 3:29 pm, K9 Officer Tyler Lavender initiated a motor vehicle stop on Sweetbriar Road.

An external sniff by K9 Quest indicated the presence of narcotics in the vehicle, leading to a search. Inside a passenger’s black backpack, officers found methamphetamine, a BB gun, a metal baton, a face mask, gloves, and a lock pick set. The passenger, Alexander Hudson, claimed ownership of all items.

Hudson faced multiple charges, including being a Certain Person Not to Possess Weapons, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Burglar’s Tools. He was taken into custody and held at the Cape May County Correctional Facility in adherence with the Attorney General Guidelines related to the Criminal Justice Bail Reform Policies and Directives.
