Wilmington, DE – Delaware State Police took Joshua Witty, 33, of Lincoln, into custody after a traffic stop on Sunday led to charges of drug and weapons possession. Witty’s arrest ensued after an incident in which he tried to evade arrest by fleeing back to his vehicle.
Following the arrest on Coastal Highway near Eagles Crest Road on May 12, 2024, police discovered a significant amount of drugs and weapons during a search of Witty and his vehicle. These items included two handguns, various illicit substances, approximately $706 in suspected drug money, and drug paraphernalia.
Joshua Witty found himself facing multiple charges related to drug and weapon possession as detailed by the Delaware State Police. After being arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7, Witty was incarcerated at the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of a $171,502 cash bond.
