Search Underway for D.C. Armed Carjacking Suspects

WASHINGTON, D.C. – D.C. Metro Police Department seeks public assistance to identify suspects involved in a recent armed carjacking. Last Saturday afternoon, around 3:38 p.m., a carjacking incident occurred in the 600 block of 4th Street, Southwest.

During the incident, several suspects confronted the victim who was in their vehicle. One suspect, armed with a handgun, demanded the victim to exit the vehicle and surrender the keys. After the victim complied, the suspects drove away with the vehicle.

Two suspects were recorded on nearby surveillance cameras.

The police urge anyone with information to avoid direct confrontation and instead contact them at (202) 727-9099 or send a tip via text to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.
