Dorchester Man Arrested on Firearm and Drug Charges in Roxbury

ROXBURY, MA – Late Friday night, Boston Police officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested 42-year-old William White of Dorchester, charging him with multiple firearm and drug offenses. The arrest occurred at approximately 11:15 PM near 469 Blue Hill Avenue following a reported altercation.

Upon arrival, officers heard warnings that White was armed and approached him for a pat-down. White initially resisted by pushing the officers’ hands away but was subdued and found to be carrying a loaded J.A. Nine handgun with additional rounds in the magazine. A search also revealed White possessing eight grams of crack cocaine.

White now faces charges including unlawful possession of a firearm, ammunition, a large capacity feeding device, and possession of a class B substance. He is slated for arraignment at Roxbury District Court.
