CAMDEN, DE — Delaware State Police are currently investigating a fatal crash involving a single vehicle that occurred yesterday afternoon, resulting in the death of a woman.

The incident took place on June 8, around 2:33 PM, on Westville Road in Camden, Delaware. A 1996 Ford F-150, traveling west and coming out of a gradual right curve near Probst Lane, veered out of its lane.

The vehicle struck a mailbox and continued northwesterly, crashing into a guardrail.

After riding the guardrail for a short distance, the truck fell into a deep ditch and collided with an embankment, causing it to overturn onto its left side. During the accident, the driver, a 45-year-old woman from Smyrna, Delaware, was partially ejected and became pinned under the truck.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are withholding her name pending notification of relatives.
