Woman Attacked While Sleeping Outside in Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, NY – The New York City Police Department is reaching out to the public for assistance in identifying and locating a man wanted in connection to a sexual abuse incident. The event occurred in Staten Island’s 120 Precinct.

Early Wednesday morning, around 4:20 AM, a 35-year-old woman was assaulted while she was sleeping on the ground near 1 Richmond Terrace. The suspect assaulted the woman sexually and then escaped on foot in an unknown direction. The victim did not sustain critical physical injuries during the ordeal.

Authorities describe the suspect as a male with a light complexion, standing approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a medium build. He was last observed wearing a black T-shirt with white lettering, blue jeans, and red and black sneakers.

The NYPD urges anyone with information about this incident or the suspect to come forward to aid the investigation and ensure community safety.
