Injured Bald Eagle Rescued from Landfill by Virginia Deputy

Stafford, VA — Deputy K.L. Busch of the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident involving an injured eagle near the local landfill this morning. The eagle, affectionately named Flight Schrute, was found with an injured wing.

Deputy Busch quickly addressed the situation, ensuring that the eagle received the necessary care. Flight Schrute will be taken to the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center to recover and rehabilitate his wing.

The Sheriff’s Office expressed hope for a speedy recovery for Flight Schrute. They encouraged those interested in helping animals or ensuring the safety of Stafford County to consider a career with the Sheriff’s Office.
