Armed Carjacking Incident Triggers Manhunt in Southeast D.C.

Washington, D.C. – A search is underway for a suspect involved in an armed carjacking incident in Southeast Washington. The incident occurred on Wednesday, July 10, at around 7:35 p.m. in the 1400 block of Cedar Street.

A victim reported that while he was on his motor-driven scooter, two suspects approached him, one of whom was armed with a handgun. The armed suspect demanded the victim to dismount the scooter, after which one suspect took off on the scooter while the other fled in a black car.

Surveillance cameras in the vicinity captured images of one of the suspects. The police have released these photos, seeking help from the community to identify the individual.
