Atlantic City Casino Target of Bomb Hoax

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – On Tuesday, the Atlantic City Police Department’s Communications Unit received a 911 call at 3:55 PM from an anonymous individual. The caller claimed to be inside the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, allegedly armed with firearms and an explosive device.

In response to the potential threat, patrol officers and Borgata Security promptly conducted a thorough sweep of the premises. Despite the alarming nature of the call, no suspicious individuals or devices were found.

For safety, certain areas of the hotel and casino were evacuated as a precautionary measure. After ensuring the area was secure, guests and staff were allowed to return, and law enforcement officially cleared the scene.

The investigation into the credibility of the threat is ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to contact them at (609) 347-5766 or to submit tips anonymously via tip411 with the keyword “ACPD.”
