Bronx Papa John’s Driver Fatally Shot After Shift

by Local News Report

Bronx, NY – A Bronx Papa John’s employee, recognized twice as “employee of the month,” was tragically killed early Tuesday morning in what appeared to be a mugging outside his home.

Idriss Cherif El Farissy, 28, had just returned from his delivery driver shift and parked his car outside his East 176th Street apartment in Crotona Park East. It was just before 3 a.m. when he was confronted and fatally shot in the head by an unidentified assailant.

The shooter reportedly searched El Farissy’s pockets before fleeing the scene, leaving the community and his coworkers in mourning over the senseless violence.
