Injured Osprey Rescued at Thomas Point Park

Annapolis, MD – The Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police (NRP) reported an increase in calls to rescue birds during the fledgling season. Thanks to the efforts of NRP Officers, Reserve Officers, and volunteers, many birds are being rescued and sent to licensed wildlife centers for assistance.

Sgt. Ron Collier recently rescued an osprey at Thomas Point Park in Annapolis after being alerted by park staff. The department emphasized the importance of community efforts in these rescues.
