Eastern Shore Electrical Estimator Wins $50K Scratch-Off Prize

by Local News Report

Denton, Md. — An electrical estimator from Caroline County experienced an unexpected “shock” after revealing a $50,000 prize on a $500,000 Crossword instant ticket purchased late last month.

The Eastern Shore resident, who frequently buys scratch-offs on his way home from work, decided to try his luck at Bullock’s Deli in Denton. After stopping in for gas and coffee, he was drawn to the Lottery vending machine and chose the $500,000 Crossword game, attracted by the game’s top prize.

“It was a huge rush,” the winner shared, describing the moment he realized he had won $50,000. Despite his excitement, he managed to stay calm, knowing that the significant prize would go straight into his bank account.

Bullock’s Deli, located at 610 Campground Road in Denton, has now become the winner’s new lucky Lottery spot. The $500,000 Crossword ticket, which costs $20, debuted in February with five top prizes of $500,000. Three of those top prizes remain, along with five $50,000 second-tier prizes like the one claimed by the lucky estimator.
