35-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot in Kensington

PHILADELPHIA — A 35-year-old man was shot and killed in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia on Friday night, according to police. Officers from the 24th District responded to a report of a “Person with a Gun” at the intersection of Kensington Avenue and Tusculum Street at approximately 10:25 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim with gunshot wounds to his abdomen. He was immediately transported to Temple University Hospital by police, where he was pronounced dead at 10:56 p.m., according to the Philadelphia Police Department.

The Homicide Unit is currently investigating the incident. No arrests have been made, and the motive for the shooting remains unclear.

Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the shooting to contact the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the department’s tipline at 215-686-TIPS (8477). A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
