Man Charged in Connection with D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Authorities have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with a June shooting in Northeast Washington.

On June 13, officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 1500 block of Benning Road, Northeast, where they found a victim suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.

On Wednesday, Renard Levenberry, a resident of Northeast D.C., was taken into custody and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) following the issuance of a D.C. Superior Court Arrest Warrant.
