21-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dead in Toms River Crash

TOMS RIVER, NJ – A tragic motorcycle accident took place last Thursday evening in Toms River, NJ, leaving a 21-year-old man dead after being thrown from his bike, according to Toms River police.

The accident occurred around 8:45 p.m. on Old Freehold Road when another vehicle, traveling south, attempted to make a left turn onto Walnut Street, directly into the path of the oncoming motorcycle.

Police reported that the impact was severe enough to eject the motorcyclist from his bike, causing life-threatening injuries. Despite being airlifted to a hospital, the young man did not survive.

The driver of the other vehicle, who suffered minor injuries, was also taken to the hospital. Authorities are likely continuing to investigate the incident to piece together the full circumstances surrounding the crash.

The motorcyclist has not yet been officially identified.
