Power Outage and Court Street Garage Closure Scheduled in Frederick

by Breaking Local News Report

Frederick, MD – Potomac Edison will upgrade the underground electrical system near the Court Street Parking Garage on Thursday. The power outage is planned from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., impacting the Court Street Parking Garage, The Patrick Center, and Creekside Plaza.

The Court Street Parking Garage will be closed for the duration of the outage, with power expected to be restored by 5:00 p.m. One exit gate will be functional, but no entrance gates will be open. Vehicles inside may remain parked but cannot reenter if removed.

The Department of Public Works (DPW) will monitor any traffic signal issues caused by the outage. Motorists should treat non-operational traffic lights as four-way stop signs, coming to a full stop and yielding as needed.
