Allegheny County Police investigate fatal shooting in West Mifflin

WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. — The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Tuesday night in the Mon View Heights housing complex.

At 10:02 p.m. on October 1, 2024, County 9-1-1 received reports of gunfire near the 40 building in the complex. Upon arrival, first responders located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The police have not yet released the identity of the victim. Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
