NEW YORK — The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a man wanted in connection with a sexual abuse incident that occurred on Sunday night near Times Square.
At approximately 10:05 p.m., a 22-year-old woman was approached from behind by an unidentified man in the vicinity of West 45th Street and 8th Avenue. The suspect allegedly pressed his groin against the victim’s body and performed a lewd act, according to police reports.
The man then fled the scene in a Black Lincoln SUV with New York license plate T500511C, traveling westbound on West 45th Street toward 8th Avenue. No injuries were reported following the incident.
The suspect is described as having a medium build and medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a dark blue coat, a gray button-down shirt, black pants, and black shoes.
Authorities are asking anyone with information on the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to contact the NYPD.
