BALTIMORE — A man seen in a viral video assaulting football fans after a Ravens game is now facing criminal charges, according to the Baltimore Police Department. Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for 24-year-old John Callis, charging him with first-degree aggravated assault and three counts of second-degree assault.
The incident occurred following the Baltimore Ravens’ 30-23 win over the Washington Commanders last Sunday. In the video, Callis, wearing a Ravens jersey with quarterback Lamar Jackson’s number, is seen approaching two 23-year-old Commanders fans on the street. Callis kicked one of the men and delivered a forceful punch that knocked him to the ground. He then attacked the second fan, hitting him repeatedly, while bystanders reportedly encouraged the violence.
Callis, who was fired from his job after the video gained widespread attention, is now at risk of facing jail time. Baltimore Police have urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.
