DEAL, N.J. — A 20-year-old Neptune man was arrested and charged in connection with multiple residential burglaries, including two on Lady Bess Drive, following a police response last week, authorities said.

On November 26, officers were dispatched to a home on Lady Bess Drive at approximately 3:34 p.m. for a report of an attempted break-in. Upon arrival, police discovered an open rear window and spotted a suspect inside the residence. Officers surrounded the home and entered through the front door, locating the suspect hiding in a second-floor bedroom.

The man, identified as Nasyr D. Fisher, was taken into custody without incident. Investigators later determined Fisher had burglarized a second residence next door and linked him to evidence from another burglary in a different jurisdiction.

Fisher was transported to Deal Police Headquarters, where he was charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of trespassing, obstruction, criminal mischief, and receiving stolen property. He was subsequently committed to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a court date.

Deal police credited the Township of Ocean Police Department and Allenhurst Police Department for their assistance in the investigation.
