The crash resulted in wires crossing the roadway, creating a hazard that prompted authorities to shut down the area for public safety.

Police have not provided an estimate on when the road will reopen as utility crews work to address the issue.

Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes and avoid the area until further notice.
