BUFFALO, N.Y. — The New York Lottery announced that two third-prize-winning Powerball tickets worth $50,000 each were sold for the Dec. 11 drawing.

One ticket was sold at TOPS Markets on Amherst Street in Buffalo, while the other was purchased at Wegmans on Brewerton Road in Cicero. Both tickets matched four numbers plus the red Power Ball to claim the third-tier prize.

The winning numbers for the Dec. 11 drawing were selected from a field of one to 69, with the red Power Ball drawn from a separate field of one to 26. The Powerball drawing takes place three times a week, offering players across the country a chance at multi-million-dollar jackpots.

The New York Lottery encourages winners to sign the back of their tickets and contact their local lottery office to claim their prize.

These wins mark another instance of Powerball’s widespread appeal, rewarding players with significant prizes throughout the state.
