47-year-old man found dead with multiple gunshot wounds in Harlem overnight

A late-night shooting claimed the life of a Harlem man, as police work to uncover the circumstances surrounding his death.

HARLEM, NY — A 47-year-old man was fatally shot late Saturday night near 2949 Frederick Douglass Boulevard, police said.

Officers from the 32nd Precinct and PSA 6 responded to a 911 call reporting the shooting at approximately 10:56 p.m. Upon arrival, they found the victim, identified as David Brown, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen.

Emergency Medical Services transported Brown to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

No arrests have been made in connection to the shooting as of Sunday, and authorities have not released information regarding a potential motive or suspect.

The investigation remains ongoing, according to the NYPD.
