Amber Alert: Teen reported missing in Queens

Police are intensifying efforts to locate the teen as concern grows among her family and community.

QUEENS, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing teenager last seen in Queens.

Janelys Baez, a 15-year-old Hispanic female, was reported missing after she left her residence at 152nd Street. Baez is described as having a medium complexion, standing about 5 feet 2 inches tall, and weighing approximately 100 pounds. She has long red and black hair and brown eyes.

According to police, she was last seen wearing a black jacket with a tan hood, black sweatpants, and black Crocs.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is encouraged to contact the NYPD immediately.
