JERSEY CITY, NJ — A 17-year-old male has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man on Friday night in Jersey City, according to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez.

The juvenile, whose name is withheld due to his age, was arrested Monday at a residence on Garfield Avenue and is charged with murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He is accused of fatally shooting Rahmiere Morris, 20, of Jersey City, on January 3, 2025.
