TOMS RIVER, NJ – Michael Mattina, 59, of Matawan, was sentenced on January 3 to a total of nine years in New Jersey State Prison. The sentence, announced by Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, includes five years for Distribution of Child Pornography and four years for Invasion of Privacy, to be served consecutively.
The investigation, conducted by the Brick Township Police Department Detective Bureau and Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit, revealed that Mattina secretly recorded six females, including a 16-year-old, using a hidden camera. The videos were posted on two adult websites.
Mattina faced multiple charges on August 17, 2020, including Invasion of Privacy, Distribution of Obscene Materials, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Manufacturing Child Pornography, and Distribution of Child Pornography. He surrendered to Brick Township Police, receiving a summons for court appearances in Ocean County Superior Court.
