Gas leak investigation shuts down Central Avenue in Anne Arundel County

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. — Central Avenue between Loch Haven Road and Muddy Creek Road has been temporarily closed as fire officials investigate a possible gas leak, the Anne Arundel County Police Department announced Tuesday.

Authorities are urging residents and motorists to expect significant delays as both vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the area remains restricted until the situation is resolved.

Police and fire personnel are on-site managing the scene and directing traffic to ensure public safety.

No injuries or evacuations have been reported at this time.

Officials are asking the public to follow all instructions from first responders and avoid the area if possible.
