Gunman robs Dunkin’ Donuts in New Castle, escapes with cash

The suspect remains at large as police work to track him down.

NEW CASTLE, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place early Sunday at a Dunkin’ Donuts on North Dupont Highway.

Authorities say the suspect, described as a Black male about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a slim build, entered the store, sat at a table, and spoke with a female employee before pulling out a gun and demanding cash.

The employee handed over an undisclosed amount of money, and the suspect fled the scene. No injuries were reported.

Troopers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Surveillance footage has not yet been released.
