WASHINGTON — Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) will hold a press conference on Tuesday, March 4, to introduce legislation aimed at reinstating federal workers who were previously fired.

The event, scheduled for 9:30 a.m. ET, will feature members of Congress, union leadership, and former federal employees affected by past terminations.

Details of the bill have not yet been released, but McIver’s office indicated it seeks to address concerns over dismissals that lawmakers and labor groups argue were unjust or politically motivated.

The press conference will take place as debate over federal workforce policies continues in Congress.
