JACKSON, N.J. — A playful and loving puppy named Pete is once again searching for a home after an unsuccessful adoption.
The eight-month-old mixed breed was recently adopted but returned to the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility after the resident cats did not adjust to his presence. Shelter staff say Pete did nothing wrong and remains a friendly, energetic, and intelligent young pup who just needs basic training.
Pete is dog-friendly but would do best in a home without cats. Since he is still learning, a household with older children would be ideal.
Pete is available for adoption at the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, located at 615 Freemont Avenue in Jackson. The shelter is open daily from 1 to 4 p.m.
