NEWBURGH, NY — A third-prize-winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Newburgh for the March 31 drawing, the New York Lottery announced Tuesday.

The winning ticket was purchased at Smokes 4 Less, located at 59 North Plank Road. It matched four of the five white balls drawn, plus the red Power Ball, securing the $50,000 prize.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Tickets must be claimed within one year of the drawing date.
