New Jersey Cops to Dunkin Donuts April Fools’ Day Prankster, Well Played

by Breaking Local News Report

BELLEVILLE, NJ — Officers at the Belleville Police Department received an unexpected surprise Monday morning when an anonymous prankster delivered what appeared to be a box of Dunkin’ Donuts, only for it to contain a vegetable platter instead.

The box, which was dropped off at the station on April Fools’ Day, contained carrots and celery in place of donuts. The department described the prank as “cruel, creative, crunchy” and noted they were unprepared for the healthy twist.

“Shoutout to the mystery prankster who dropped off “Dunkin’ Donuts” to the Belleville Police Department this morning… only for us to open the box and find a vegetable platter.

Carrots and celery in a donut box? On April Fools Day? Cruel. Creative. Crunchy.

We’ll admit—we were emotionally unprepared. But hey, at least we’re eating healthy today (against our will). Well played.”

The incident was shared publicly by the department on social media. Officers joked that they were forced into healthy eating “against our will” and acknowledged the prank as a well-executed April Fools’ gesture.
