WALDORF, MD — Authorities in Maryland suspect foul play in the disappearance of 23-year-old Lesbia Mileth Ramirez Guerra, a mother of two who vanished under suspicious circumstances from her Waldorf home. The Charles County Sheriff’s Office confirmed federal agents have detained her boyfriend, who is also the father of her children, for allegedly being in the U.S. without legal documentation.

Key Points:

  • Guerra was last seen March 31; her disappearance was reported April 2 by her boyfriend.
  • The family’s red Toyota 4Runner was moved suspiciously around the home shortly after she vanished.
  • Her boyfriend is now in federal custody on immigration-related charges.

Guerra’s last confirmed sighting was on the evening of March 31 at her home on Adams Court, which she shared with several individuals, including her boyfriend. On April 1, deputies say the family’s red Toyota 4Runner was moved from the front of the home to the back — a maneuver described as “unusual and suspicious” by officials, given the layout of the property. The vehicle was later seen leaving the premises entirely.

Law enforcement spokesperson Diane Richardson told Law&Crime that deputies are investigating this activity as potentially connected to Guerra’s disappearance. “We are working diligently to piece together her last known movements and any activities at the home,” Richardson said.

Investigators seek surveillance footage

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents and property owners to review security footage captured between March 31 and April 2 for sightings of the 4Runner. Investigators are particularly interested in video from rural or isolated roads and are encouraging the public to also check trail and hunters’ cameras.

The request for video surveillance follows the April 2 report of Guerra’s disappearance, which was filed by her boyfriend — now in federal custody. Authorities have not released his name due to his ongoing immigration case.

Focus shifts to isolated areas

Investigators are focusing search efforts on remote locations in the region, as they examine whether the vehicle’s movements on April 1 could indicate a potential crime scene or disposal site. Officials said the timing and placement of the vehicle at the home do not align with routine activity.

“Guerra was last physically seen on the evening of March 31 at her residence on Adams Court in Waldorf,” deputies wrote in a statement released Monday.

Guerra’s children remain in the care of family members as the investigation continues.
