Citrus County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a stabbing that occurred early Monday morning in Homosassa following a disturbance between individuals near Fishbowl Drive and Halls River Road.
Authorities responded to the scene shortly after the incident was reported and located one male victim suffering from stab wounds. The victim was transported to a trauma facility for emergency treatment. Officials confirmed he is currently in stable condition.
“CCSO detectives are currently investigating a disturbance between individuals that escalated into a stabbing incident earlier this morning,” the agency stated in a release.
Law enforcement said the individuals involved in the incident have been identified. Investigators believe there is no ongoing danger to the public, and no suspects are actively being sought at this time.
As of Monday morning, no arrests or charges had been announced. Officials have not released the identities of those involved or the specific nature of the dispute.
