FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — A lucky TAKE 5 player is nearly $32,000 richer after purchasing a top-prize ticket at a local deli for Tuesday evening’s drawing.
The winning ticket, worth $31,829.50, was sold at JJ Express Deli located at 55 Allen Boulevard in Farmingdale. The prize came from the May 20 TAKE 5 EVENING drawing, part of the New York Lottery’s twice-daily number game.
The TAKE 5 game draws numbers from a field of one through 39, with winning numbers announced daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Tickets can be checked via the lottery’s official app, website, or at any authorized retailer.
Winners have one year from the date of the draw to claim their prize. The identity of the Farmingdale winner has not yet been revealed.
TAKE 5 continues to deliver local wins
This latest win follows a pattern of TAKE 5 prizes being claimed across Long Island and New York State in recent months, with top prizes often exceeding $30,000 depending on the number of players.
The New York Lottery remains the highest-grossing lottery in North America, contributing billions to state education funding annually.
